Obszar ten zachwyci swoim bogactwem każdego, nawet najbardziej wybrednego turystę. Poniżej zestawienie miejsc, które warto odwiedzić, udając się w ten region świata:

1. Wellington, Nowa Zelandia 

Położenie: najbardziej wysunięte na południe wybrzeże Wyspy Północnej w Cieśninie Cooka, która oddziela wyspy: Północną i Południową.  

Obszar miasta to tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste pomiędzy dwiema cieśninami – Porirua Basin i Hutt Valley

Na terenie wyspy Południowej, panuje morski klimat umiarkowany, bardzo zbliżony do europejskich warunków. 

Rozbudowany system przedmieść (ponad 60 dzielnic) 

Dzielnica Miramar to centrum przemysłu filmowego, miejsce produkcji hitu kinowego "Władca Pierścieni".

Worth a visit

*Nurkowanie z wielorybami w Kaikoura ("whale watching")

*Jezioro Tekapo (Lake Tekapo)

"The lake is fed at its northern end by the braided Godley River, which has its source in the Southern Alps to the north. The lake is a popular tourist destination, and several resort hotels are located at the township of Lake Tekapo at the lake's southern end. The Lake Tekapo Regional Park, administered by Environment Canterbury, is located on the southern shore of the lake."

*Jaskinia (Cave) Waitomo GlowWorm

"The attraction has a modern visitor centre at the entrance, largely designed in wood. There are organized tours that include a boat ride under the glowworms."

 *Pancake Rocks blowholes

"The community lies on the edge of the Paparoa National Park. The Pancake Rocks are a very popular tourist goal at Dolomite Point south of the main village. The Pancake Rocks are a heavily eroded limestone area where the sea bursts through several vertical blowholes during high tides. Together with the 'pancake'-layering of the limestone (created by immense pressure on alternating hard and soft layers of marine creatures and plant sediments), these form the main attraction of the area."

 *Tongariro National Park

"Is the oldest national park in New Zealand, located in the central North Island. It has been acknowledged by UNESCO as one of the 28 mixed cultural and natural World Heritage Sites.
Tongariro National Park was the fourth national park established in the world. The active volcanic mountains Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe, and Tongariro are located in the centre of the park.^"
